Living Lab New Brunswick – Knowledge Translation and Transfer (KTT) Coordinator

 Job Description – The Agriculture Alliance of New Brunswick (AANB) is a forward-thinking, fast paced non-profit organization that manages several agricultural programs funded by government.  AANB manages the Living Lab NB (LLNB) program, which is currently in year – 3 of 5, in providing a leading role in advancing Climate Smart Agriculture Management Practices on agricultural lands in New Brunswick. 

AANB is hiring a Knowledge Translation & Transfer Coordinator starting immediately for their Living Lab NB program. The individual hired for this position will need strong critical thinking skills and be able to organize data in a variety of formats. This position is one that the successful candidate will connect with a network of organizations and experts within the regional and Canadian agricultural landscapes.

Scope of Projects – The AANB Knowledge Translation and Transfer Coordinator will fulfill the following duties based on a 35-hour work week, based on the annual workplan. Frequent overnight travel is required. This position will cover the management duties in five key areas:

  • Manage and maintain LLNB’s KTT Management Strategy and Workplan
  • Manage LLNB’s website (English & French)
  • Manage LLNB’s Social Media Platforms (English & French)
  • Support management of the LLNB’s Learning Management System (LMS)
    Provide support to LLNB team members in the organization and promotion of various workshops & events

Description of the Position – The experienced Knowledge Translation and Transfer Coordinator will support the management of components of the LLNB project. Responsibilities include the coordination and completion of projects on time within budget and within scope using project management software. Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarize the progress of the project. Prepare reports for upper management regarding status of project and statistics.

The successful candidate will work directly with project teams to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget. He or she will coordinate with other AANB managers, coordinators, communications team, and financial team to ensure all aspects of each project are compatible and will seek additional talent resources as needed to fulfill individual project and AANB association needs.

Responsibilities, Requirements and Skills KTT Coordinator Responsibilities:

  • Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project
  • Assist in the definition of project scope & objectives, involving all relevant internal stakeholders, ensuring technical feasibility and ensuring resource availability & allocation
  • Perform risk management to minimize potential risks
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of multiple projects & events
  • Manage relationship with clients, relevant stakeholders and third parties/vendors
  • Develop a comprehensive, detailed project plan to monitor, track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques meeting budgetary objectives
  • Report and escalate to management as needed
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Manage LLNB website and social media platforms
  • Attend conferences and training as required to maintain proficiency
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

KTT Coordinator Requirements:

  • Proven working experience in project management. (Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II certification is an asset)
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills (English & French)
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and the cloud-based TEAMS environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience in the field or in an area related to conservation agriculture, carbon market development, forage production and/or agriculture
  • Experience with project management software tools
  • Knowledge of not-for-profit governance is an asset

KTT Coordinator Salary & Benefits:

  • Gross salary for the position is $55,000+ annually based on qualifications and experience
  • The position is considered full time
  • Compensation provided bi-weekly based on a 35-hour work week
  • Coordinator is entitled to 2-weeks paid vacation with prior approval by the Project Manager
  • Overtime is not an eligible expense, unless otherwise approved by the LLNB Project Manager
  • Hours worked in excess of a 35-hour compressed work week, can be banked for later use as approved by the LLNB Project Manager
  • Travel Costs (Mileage and Meals) will be reimbursed at National Joint Council Rates, as per the approved AANB Expense Claim Template
  • All reasonable costs incurred will be compensated at the approval of the LLNB Project Manager, which may include, but not be limited to: Mobile Phone Expenses, Electronic Office Equipment, Software, Protective Equipment for Field Operations
  • Annual RRSP contributions will be matched up to 4% of gross salary
  • Health benefits will be provided after probation period via Dairy Farmers of New Brunswick group 8849 policy as per standard at Agriculture Alliance of New Brunswick.  Benefits extension will be made available to Coordinator Spouse and Children as desired at a cost borne by the coordinator
  •  Flexible work location, either working remotely within New Brunswick or from the Fredericton office

Term:

  • The term of the KTT Coordinator position will extend from March
  • 1, 2025 through to the end of the official project scope March 31, 2027, based on satisfactory contribution to the position based on an annual performance review. (Potential for contract renewals)
